I love the idea of a studio apartment.  Nowhere requires good, intelligent design like a studio, because although the space is restricted there still needs to be facilities to cook, to eat, to bath and to sleep, not to mention provide sufficient storage.  It’s a bit like designing a boat.

At 30m2, this studio in Paris is on the smaller side, but manages to incorporate both good looks and clever design.  With an abundant use of exposed timber (floor, walls, joinery) what this apartment lacks in space it makes up for in warmth and texture.  I can imagine spending time in this room – going to sleep, waking up, reading, eating – and all the time feeling good.

More inspirational studios to come!
